A perfect location for that next holiday, giving you access to many different fabulous places in Scotland. This is the main location you can find in Highland and it is where you will find friendly people and plenty of things to keep you busy!

Going in the summer can make you enjoy boat trips to the Summer Isles and even around Loch Broom. There you will be able to see lots of different wildlife including birds, seals and dolphins. Or schedule a trip to go fishing or scuba diving.

Finding your way to this location can be done by air. Flying into Inverness you can hire a vehicle and enjoy the Highlands by car. It will only be a trip that will take you two hours by car. The location is one that will offer you some wonderful scenery to look at along the way.

Many other nearby places also offer you some really fantastic scenery and things to do. Head out to see the Summer Islands, Gruinard Bay or even Inverewe. Heading south from Ullapool you will find either Caithness or Sutherland, which also offer many wonderful scenery. It’s easy to imagine yourself in another world when you head to this part.

While there are still more wonderful communities to see when you head north from Ullapool. Kinlochbervie or Lochinver are really fabulous places. There are many stories about these areas and the possible existence of ghosts. Offering you not only something exciting but also mysterious.

Those two places are also wonderful places to go out and have some great fish and chips. The size of those fish is said to be enormous! Even more areas that you can easily head to from Ullapool include Smoo Cave, Durness and even that lighthouse located at Cape Wrath.
