Eye makeup tips for brown-eyed girls

The most common type of eye color is brown. Since it is the most prevalent eye color, there are ways to bring out the true beauty of a brown-eyed girl with colors that make the eyes stand out. It is important to choose the right color enhancers for the brown-eyed girl based on the person’s skin tone. I have brown eyes and want to share some eyeshadow colors that make brown eyes come alive.

People with brown or hazel eyes can wear many shades, and experimenting with different colors is important to find the style that works best for your brown eyes. My eye color can sometimes appear very dark, but in good lighting it will appear honey-colored. The color I use the most to highlight my eyes is green. For me, any shade of green will work, but I prefer a light green over a dark green. If your eyes are dark brown, try wearing a bright blue color like royal blue or cobalt and wear purple for eyes that have hazel flecks in the eye. Other colors to consider for brown eyes include blue, purple, gold, copper, and black for a sexy smokey eye.

Smokey eye makeup is the popular choice that women look for when doing their eye makeup. For the brown-eyed gal, keeping it simple by using black shadow on the lid and brown in the crease and blending together will create an easy smoky eye look. It is also important to use eyeliner to enhance the shape of the eye using brown, black and purple colors or marine colors.

If I want to do a retro look I will use a white pencil eyeliner and line the waterline of my eye then use a black kohl pencil or black liquid eyeliner to line below the waterline making sure to extend the liner all the way to the corners of my eyes to create an almond shape. Then I use a solid color like a shimmery powder shadow in light pink or dusty blue on my lid.

The easiest way to enhance your eyes without looking too heavy is to use a brown eyeliner pencil and black or brown mascara on your lashes. I don’t wear eyeshadow for this look and put on a bit of neutral gloss for my lips creating a not-so-makeup look.
